At a fundraiser in Washington DC on Monday night, actor Jon Voight - master of ceremonies for the evening - made a speech that may well prove to be more memorable than a few of his movies. His comments came during a GOP Congressional Dinner where he said he was "embarrassed" by the popular president and that Obama's leadership would bring the "downfall" of the country. "We are becoming a weak nation," Voight said, calling Obama a "false prophet" and his administration the "Obama oppression."
Voight, a conservative, has been an outspoken critic or Barack Obama in the past. Here's what the actor had to say in an Op-Ed for The Washington Times during the run-up to the presidential election in 2008:
"Sen. Barack Obama has grown up with the teaching of very angry, militant white and black people: the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, William Ayers and Rev. Michael Pfleger. We cannot say we are not affected by teachers who are militant and angry. We know too well that we become like them, and Mr. Obama will run this country in their mindset.
The Democratic Party, in its quest for power, has managed a propaganda campaign with subliminal messages, creating a God-like figure in a man who falls short in every way. It seems to me that if Mr. Obama wins the presidential election, then Messrs. Farrakhan, Wright, Ayers and Pfleger will gain power for their need to demoralize this country and help create a socialist America.
The Democrats have targeted young people, knowing how easy it is to bring forth
whatever is needed to program their minds. I know this process well. I was caught up in the hysteria during the Vietnam era, which was brought about through Marxist propaganda underlying the so-called peace movement. The radicals of that era were successful in giving the Communists power to bring forth the killing fields and slaughter 2.5 million people in Cambodia and South Vietnam. Did they stop the war, or did they bring the war to those innocent people? In the end, they turned their backs on all the horror and suffering they helped
create and walked away."

Hayden Panettiere pregnant....
Hayden Panettiere pregnant? Well, we will have to wait and see.
The recent break-up of Heroes stars Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia had, at the time, been attributed to a pregnancy scare. Apparently, Hayden thought she may have been pregnant but the subsequent pregnancy test proved negative.
The friction caused by the scare was said by some, to have been the cause of the couple parting after a year together.
However, could she be pregnant now? If the buzz on the internet is anything to go by then perhaps - but then again knowing how much speculation and gossip follows the young star, I would take it with a pinch of salt. Time will tell!
But one thing we do know is that she does want to have children at some point - four to be precise. However, when she does have kids she doesn't want them to be involved in showbiz. Hayden was reported as saying, "I would love to be a mum and to have a family - for Italians, it's the most important thing you can have." Panettiere added, "I think you have to be a pretty strong person to enter the industry that young and not be affected by it. I was lucky, but I'd never want my kids to be subject to that much criticism at such a young age."
Hayden has now hooked-up with 32 year old British playboy presenter Steve Jones.

Carradine’s family horrified by photo published in tabloid newspaper
David Carradine’s family is said to be horrified by the news that a photo has been published in a Thai tabloid newspaper that shows the dead actor hanging from the support bar of a closet.
Family attorney Mark Geragos, who represents Carradine's brother, Keith, told said that the family is "outraged" by the move and will legally go after any publication in the U.S. that publishes the photo.
Carradine was found hanging in his luxury hotel room in Bangkok, Thailand in what was at first called a suicide. However, Thai police have since said that accidental suffocation may be the cause of death after they discovered a rope around Carradine's genitals. These circumstances have led to speculation that the 72-year-old actor may have been engaged in a dangerous form of sex play known as auto-erotic asphyxiation. This involves temporarily cutting off the supply of oxygen to the brain to heighten the effects of a sexual climax.
The shocking photo shows Carradine with his hands tied in front of him and tattoos on the lower half of his nude body can be seen. Discoloration of the skin on the lower extremities would suggest that he had been dead for hours before being found.

Hookers For Jesus
Hookers For Jesus founder Annie Lobért and her boyfriend Oz Fox - guitarist of the Christian rock band Stryper - were married in Vegas on Friday.
Annie Lobért and Oz Fox said their wedding vows at the Church of South Las Vegas in front of cheering crowds. Hundreds also tuned in via the internet as the ceremony was broadcast live online from the chapel website. The wedding had been widely publicized on many Christian Websites leading up to the ceremony.
Hookers For Jesus was founded by Lobért after she spent years working as a prostitute in the Vegas area. Her career finally came to an end when she overdosed on Cocaine and found religion. The organization now helps prostitutes get off the streets and back to living a normal, healthy life through religion. Earlier this week on a post to her blog on her myspace page she said “I am getting married. It’s about time.”
Annie Lobert, who is now 41, worked as a prostitute for more than 11 years and made as much as $500 an hour. She says her life changed the night she overdosed on cocaine and everything went black. She asked Jesus for help, and now dedicates her life to "saving the souls of prostitutes". She spends her nights walking the Vegas streets handing out bibles to hookers and attempts to convince them that they can better themselves.
Annie’s new husband, Oz Fox, is 47 and a long-time member of Stryper, which stands for Salvation Through Redemption, Yielding Peace, Encouragement and Righteousness.
