Hookers For Jesus

Hookers For Jesus founder Annie Lobért and her boyfriend Oz Fox - guitarist of the Christian rock band Stryper - were married in Vegas on Friday.

Annie Lobért and Oz Fox said their wedding vows at the Church of South Las Vegas in front of cheering crowds. Hundreds also tuned in via the internet as the ceremony was broadcast live online from the chapel website. The wedding had been widely publicized on many Christian Websites leading up to the ceremony.

Hookers For Jesus was founded by Lobért after she spent years working as a prostitute in the Vegas area. Her career finally came to an end when she overdosed on Cocaine and found religion. The organization now helps prostitutes get off the streets and back to living a normal, healthy life through religion.
Earlier this week on a post to her blog on her myspace page she said “I am getting married. It’s about time.”

Annie Lobert, who is now 41, worked as a prostitute for more than 11 years and made as much as $500 an hour. She says her life changed the night she overdosed on cocaine and everything went black. She asked Jesus for help, and now dedicates her life to "saving the souls of prostitutes". She spends her nights walking the Vegas streets handing out bibles to hookers and attempts to convince them that they can better themselves.

Annie’s new husband, Oz Fox, is 47 and a long-time member of Stryper, which stands for Salvation Through Redemption, Yielding Peace, Encouragement and Righteousness.
